Over the past two months or so we've reported on a number of communication providers plans to impose bandwidth caps on their Internet customers. AT&T implemented a market trial in Reno, Nevada that began on November 1st where users were given a bandwidth usage range of 20GB to 150GB a month. Then in October, Comcast, one of the first to put a limit in place, enabled a 250GB a month cap for customers. The problem was, they didn't provide them with monitoring tools to let users know exactly how much bandwidth they were chewing through.
